Developed in the cusp of the 1950s, the Atlas Copco D7 Rock Drill provided an uptick in efficiency and suppression of traditional pneumatic-based drills. It was driven by hydraulic pressure, featuring a hollow drill steel that permiated through some of the toughest soils and stones.
